This is amazing! I came into Trek through the reboot even though I recall my dad watching the reruns of TOS when I was a kid. This movie completely owns me. I have since seen all of TOS and the movies and I love everything Kirk and Spock and the original crew. This vid is so fresh and fun that it totally takes me back to that moment when the credits started to roll after my very first viewing in 2009. I saw it 7 times between the theater and drive-in and can't count the dvd viewings since. But the excitement and love of JJ's Trek bleeds through your vid. I love the movement in this and your amazing use of voice overs in this piece. Moving from Nero's staff popping open to Spock's eyebrow lift was perfect and the white flash before coming in on George Kirk on the Kelvin really set up that block of scenes. I love how you fit everyone into this and the action sequences. Scotty's voice over was brilliantly used. Guh! I can't stop gushing over this. I'm totally pimping this on my journal. ♥

Wow Reese...another AMAZING video from you, not that I'm suprised. I am esctatic that it was to Star Trek though. I adore this movie. I loved how honest and respectful they were to the originals while bringing something new and different to them as well. Definitely one of my favorite movies, and this video is a perfect example of it. I adored the voiceovers, music, scene selection...GREAT WORK.

The movie grew on me after watching it for the second time and I ended up adoring it when seeing it for the third time only two days ago (so your video comes right in time ;). I also grew up with the original series and I was like: Spock and Uhura? No way! But I think they made it even "logical" (hehe) with establashing an alternate time line with events that will shape the characters in a different way. That makes the movie for me believable - other than if it had been just a lame rehash- and I expect to see more of this fun crew (cast). You're recap is awesome, as always. I'd love to have the pw for the HG version.
