As a movie, The Frighteners is fairly hectic and doesn't seem to know what genre it wants to It's a horror, it's a comedy, it's a drama...it's everything. And the tone, pacing and style of this particular song changes constantly throughout, very much in the same vein. Given the film's subplot involving the thrill killers and Frank's late wife, the lyrics also felt very appropriate to the story.
